In recent years, the quantity of forensic appraisal of product quality has been increasing, which has played an important role in safeguarding litigation. However, there are still many inconsistent understandings on many key issues, which aggravates the risk of practice of appraisal institutions and appraisers.

On July 2nd, the seminar on the standardization of product quality forensic procedure was held at the Judicial Appraisal Institute of Suzhou Huabi Microscience Testing Technology Co., Ltd. The seminar was sponsored by Shanghai Judicial Appraisal Theory Research Conference and co-sponsored by Suzhou Judicial Appraisal Association. This is the first expert seminar on product quality forensic in China. More than 20 experts are from Liaoning, Shanxi, Sichuan, Shanghai and Jiangsu public security systems, quality inspection systems, judicial appraisal associations and quality associations. The purpose of this symposium is to explore the path and direction of the construction of product quality forensic appraisal procedure norms, and to provide suggestions for the first domestic product quality forensic appraisal norms. The symposium was chaired by Zhu Chunliang, Secretary-General of Shanghai Judicial Expertise Theory Research Association, Hui Xinyue, Vice-Director of Judicial Expertise Management Department of Suzhou Judicial Bureau, Liu Xuesen, Director of Judicial Expertise Institute of Suzhou Huabi Microscience Testing Technology Co., Ltd., Li Shanqiao, Director of Sichuan Special Equipment Judicial Expertise Center, and Dalian Product Quality Inspection Judiciary. Identification center Wu Qin made the keynote speech respectively. The Material Evidence Committee of Suzhou Judicial Appraisal Association organized representatives of the Judicial Appraisal Center of Suzhou University and Tongji Judicial Appraisal Institute of Suzhou to attend the meeting.
